Your advice on procrastination is great because it not only applies to students, but it also applies to many other facets of the world we live in. For example, I’ve worked in retail and frequently the business is plagued with procrastinators who like to leave work unfinished only for someone else to finish (generally on another shift) to finish up. This frequently happened with taking out the trash at my old job, and I oftentimes was very willing to do it (trash doesn’t bother me). The difference between myself and “the procrastinators” was my willingness to get ahead in my job (which ended up occurring a few months after being hired, and I never had to do trash again).

From that I can say to a student, “you need to be willing to get ahead on your work.” So many students just aren’t willing to begin with. They would rather hang out with friends, go to a party, or do something relatively useless to their studies. Of course, I fall into this on occasion. Sometime we need fresh air and and opportunity to socialize. But, if a person has an assignment to work on over 2 weeks, it would be done very well if they took even an hour a night for the entire 2 weeks to work on it.

I never thought that I am doing these. This is very true. I now know what to do. Thanks for this post, it made me realize a lot of things.

When I was in grade school I used to procrastinate. My grades came out okay. Now that I’m in college, I learned that I can do more and get better grades. I stop procrastinating and do the study right away.
