How To Study Faster by Speed Reading [video]

Maybe you can use his method on self help books but I wouldn’t use it when reading chemistry or physics textbooks where every? sentence counts.

@tla123456 I? agree speed reading isn’t as effective in hard science where logic builds on logic. Studying in hard science is more like stacking Jenga blocks. Each block is as solid as the block you added beneath it. So if just have a fuzzy idea about a concept where new concepts are being stacked on top on… get ready for some hurt ![]()

How To Motivate Yourself To Study Now [video]
Previous Comment Discussions:
Hey great method! I? was just wondering one thing…If you are listening to music while doing homework, would it make a difference if it is a song with no words? Like would it be different if I listened to a rap song with lyrics or a techno song with none? Thanks.
cman88
@cman88 Great question. Our ancestors used music to inspire them (comes from the? word “muse”). Though music generally didn’t depend on words (think Beethoven or tribal pipes & drums). Words & numbers are left brain processed (logic) while music is right brain (emotion). I suggest if you’re gonna keep listening to music while studying (instead of just using it to get you started) stick with songs without lyrics because you need your left brain free to take in all that info (not rapping w Jay-Z)

Isn’t this multi-tasking what Mr.A told us? not to do?
BKByon
@BKByon Thanks for pointing this out BKByon. Once you get your momentum going, I do suggest turning the music off. It’s just to get yourself pumped up especially if you’re not in the mood
Once you get yourself going, it’s easier to keep going until you finish or are distracted. Your? song play list can easily become a distraction. Single-tasking keeps this from happening (you finish much faster and get more out of studying).
